Pistol and rifle Performance Standards

Description

At the conclusion of our Combat Pistol Craft Course and Defensive Rifle Course students will get the opportunity to shoot our performance standards qualification course. Students who successfully achieve a passing score will receive a Carry the Day t-shirt or other merchandise.

Pistol Performance Standards

Rounds Required – 15 rounds in one magazine and 1 round in a spare magazine. 

Course will be shot using an IDPA target or similar target. 

All shots must be in center scoring zone (A-zone) and be within prescribed time, unless otherwise noted by the instructor. Shooter will start with a holstered pistol. Times will be adjusted for open or concealed carry shooter. 

15 yards

6 shots in 8 seconds from concealment / 7.5 seconds open carry 

7 yards 

1 shot in 2 seconds from concealment / 1.5 seconds open carry 

7 shots in 5 seconds from concealment / 4.5 seconds open carry 

1 shot, reload, then 1 shot in 4 seconds from concealment / 3.5 seconds open carry 

Rifle Performance Standards

Rounds Required – 30 rounds in one magazine and 1 round in a spare magazine. 

Course will be shot using an IDPA target or similar target. All shots must be in center scoring zone (A-zone) and be within prescribed time, unless otherwise noted by the instructor. Shooter will start from a low ready position. 

25 yards

10 rounds standing – 10 rounds kneeling in 25 seconds (Center body circle)

10 yards

7 shots in center scoring body circle in 3 seconds

1 shot in the center body scoring circle, then one shot to the head in 3 seconds (headshot must be in center scoring zone within the head box). 

1 shot in center body scoring circle in 1 second

1 shot in the center body scoring circle, reload, then 1 shot in center body scoring circle in 4 seconds
