Handgun Essentials

Description

  

This course is the best way for you to learn the essential skills needed to shoot a pistol. We have incorporated the advice given to us from some of the top firearms trainers in the nation and developed a our own pistol course. Students will learn how to safely and effectively operate a pistol. This course goes beyond just preparing you for your license to carry permit. 


Rental guns are available during booking. 


Class Duration: 4 hours 


Cost: $80.00 per student 

$50.00 Law Enforcement (Active or Retired) / Military (Active or Veteran)

 

Equipment Needed:

Eye and ear protection

Handgun in case with at least 2 magazines or speed loaders

300 rounds of ammunition (Range ammo)

Holster / magazine pouch (if you would like us to evaluate your selection)

Rental gun and ammunition available at the time of booking

Concealed Carry Considerations

Description

You have made the decision to carry a handgun, but are you truly ready? 

This course is designed to bridge the gap between your basic license to carry course and prepare you with the ability to effectively deploy your firearm during a real deadly force encounter. 


Participants will receive quality instruction with expert instructors who have utilized a handgun during actual deadly force encounters. This in not the Texas License to Carry Course.


Topics covered: 

Rapid presentation from a holster, effective gun handling techniques under stress, high speed accuracy at various distance, reloads, and malfunctions.


Course:

Class Duration: 8 hours 

Cost: $150.00 per student

 

Equipment Needed: 

Cleaned and oil handgun

3 or more magazines or speed loaders

Concealment holster or open carry holster (No Serpa Holsters) 

Magazine pouch

Cover garment 

Eye and hearing protection

500 rounds of ball ammunition (range ammo)

Tac Pistol / Rifle

Description

Participants with experience and an understanding of marksmanship fundamentals will be taken to a higher level of competency through practical advanced drills and non-traditional shooting techniques. Participants should have completed a basic pistol and rifle course from us or a reputable instructor prior to attending this course.

Private lessons

Description

  

Don’t see a date on our calendar that you’re available to attend training? 

Private lessons can be scheduled individually or as a group. 


Any student at any skill level can take private lessons. From beginner to advanced. This is an opportunity for the student to spend one on one time with an instructor. These lessons are focused on addressing any of the students concerns related to their firearms proficiency.

Texas License to Carry Course

Description

 This course is the required training program for first time LTC applicants. This mandatory 4-6 hour course is given by a certified Department of Public Safety Instructor. Gain knowledge and understanding on laws relate to weapons, the use of deadly force, resolution of a non-violent disputes, proper storage practices for handguns (safe storage), and proper handgun use and safety. 


Cost: $70.00 per student 

$50.00   Military  / First Responders (Active or Veteran)

 

Equipment Needed:

Semi Automatic handgun with magazine(s) or Revolver in a case

Eye and ear protection

100 rounds of ammunition

Blue or black pen

Valid State Identification 

Rental guns and ammunition available at the time of booking


No holster is used or needed for this course

L.E.O.S.A. Proficiency Qualification (HR - 218)

Description

  

Firearms proficiency qualification for retired State or Federal law enforcement officers. Course of fire will consist of the State of Texas LTC course, with a modification on a B-27 target. If your Department has a specific qualification requirement, please inform us at time of scheduling. 


Cost: $50.00 per student


Equipment Needed:

Handgun(s) that you are required to qualify with 

50 rounds of ammunition 

At least 2 magazines

If using a revolver, speed loaders are permitted

Eye and ear protection

Retired Identification 

Any forms required by your Department as proof of qualification

License to Carry Proficiency Qualification

Description

This course is for those that have already taken their online LTC class, but have not completed their proficiency qualification. There is a 1 hour range introduction mandated by the Texas Department of Public Safety. 




Required Items: 

Semi Automatic Handgun or Revolver (.22 caliber or larger)

50 rounds of ammunition 

Magazines or Speedloaders

Eye and Ear Protection 

LTC form 101 from your online course 

Rental guns and ammunition available at the time of booking
